  • been a few couple of long days, and nights.  been really busy.  enjoyed my last day at work on saturday and worked only half a day.  went to my parents house for a bbq later on that day cause my uncle and his family were in town from hobbs, nm.  havent seen most of them in a very long time.  my cousin that adores me, she is so tall now it is crazy.  my uncle and brother-in-law also helped get my big truck out to my parents place as well so i can start working on it.  gots lots of work to do to it.  my buddy nick been having a few car troubles so i had him drive out there as well so we could look at it.  my parents live about 15 minutes outside of town.  on the way out there, we found nick parked on the side of the road.  his car died and wouldnt restart.  so my uncle came and loaded it on the trailer and hauled it out there.  after lots of diagnoses, part of the carburator wsnt working.  nick already was going to replace a heater hose cause a hole in it and the brake master cylinder cause it failed inspection.  so the fun came and we started some work on it.  well we decided just to get the parts sunday and start work then.  well after searching a few places on sunday, he found the best deal for a carburator rebuild kit.  we went back to my parents and started the long tedious process.  after about 2 hours of trying to get the carburator off i was about to give up.  it was like jammed in there.  my uncle came out and gave me a hand finally and we were able to get it out, after breaking a few hoses in the process.  btw, nick knows about squat about cars.  he mainly was going around killing flys that were bothering us.  so nick and i took the carburator and and laid it out an a make shift table and rebuilt what we could.  some screws and bolts were stuck and wouldnt come out.  after that we decided to go ahead and change out the hose and master cylinder.  the hose was easy but the master cylinder...  well the part under the hood was kinda easy.  the brake rod on the inside of the car that connects to the brake...  well it was really tough and when i finally got the nut to break free, my hand went flying up under the dash and my fingure sliced open on something under there.  it sheered the top of it.  my other brother-in-law looked at the cut to see what needed to be done.  hes emt certified.  he said i couldnt get stiches cause of the angle that it was so he wrapped it up tightly to get it to stop bleeding and to get it to start sealing it.  well after that we decided to quit for the day and go back wednesday morning to try to finish it up.  and my fingure is starting to heal.  busy busy busy.  oh and my new job is kewl.  i am liking it.  i made my first sale!  well gotta run.  off to work!

  • Once again I write about a month later...  a tradition now perhaps?  What made me think of updating?  Kasie is the reason.  I saw her update and was like...  OH YEAH!  I got one of these things.  Anyways...  What has been going on...  hmmm...  Lets see...  GOD IS AWESOME!!!!  Yeah thats it!  lol, but true!  Oh and speaking of camp, I know I haven't mentioned it but Kasie did in hers, it was crazy!  I know it is still going on but you have no idea.  Well I guess I will tell yall great peeps that read this.  The VERTICAL youth left out about 9am to Country (Discovery) Camp in Columbus, TX.  I guess they thought they got everything...  WRONG!  But it happens to everyone that goes on trips.  You always tend to leave things behind.  Well I get a call about 4:30pm from Noel asking me to goto church and look on Pastor Aprils desk for an envelope that said Drama Info.  Well I did and low and behold, there it was and inside was the info and the DVD they needed in order to perform there drama at the audition the next day, as well as the marionette sticks they needed for it as well.  I advised Noel that they were there and then she wanted to know if I could overnight them to her.  Well after I started checking in on doing this, I realized something...  the next day was the Fourth of July and no one will be delivering packages!  This presented a problem and I didnt want the youth to be disapointed since they worked so hard on it at the drama sleepover on Friday night.  So I advised them that I would personally drive there to make sure they get it.  After a few problems, I left out at 9pm.  After an encounter with a deer (no damage to the car) and a DPS trooper ( just a warning), I showed up in Columbus at the camp at 3:30am July 4th and was greeted by Chad!  He advised me that he was so amazed that I did this and had never had anyone ever offer or do anything like this before.  I guess I am a rare breed, right Noel.  So then I went into the dorm to catch some zzz before leaving back out for home.  WRONG!  I got maybe 30 minutes of sleep, if that.  It was cold, lots of snoring, and everyones technology was going of in one way or another.  So everyone got up and had breakfast and they wanted me to stay for the audition which starts at 10:30am.  Well I said yes and helped them get everything and everyone ready for the skit.  Well then during all of this time Travis misplaces the marionette sticks and I had to go out and search for them, but I finally located them.  Anyways the auditions started about 10:45am.  We were not first, nor second, out of the 12 drama teams, we went number 7.  They did a great job and looked to me like they couldve made the final 5 teams.  (as of this time I dont know the results)  Well right after they performed, I left and it was already noon.  So I drove nearly straight back, only stopping twice.  I got back to San Angelo at 6:30pm and went straight out to my parents place to meet up with all my family as well as some friends, including Nick.  We ate and shot off fireworks.  All the while I am starting to colapse and fall asleep.  I finally left there about 10:30pm and came home and crashed in bed.  Unfortuanetly, I didn't sleep real well last night either and didnt want to wake up with the alarm clock.  So after a dragging day at work, I am hear writing this, checking emails, and so ready for bed...  so... L8RZ!!!!!!!

I know how Nick likes to add pictures to his so...  Here is a few pics I took on the way back.  I never stopped so all these were taken as I was driving.  Cheap digital camera, but it gets the job done!

These photos are taken of downtown San Antonio from I-10.

These are of a storm I had to drive through just on this side of Kerville.  This storm had lots of lightning, but I never got a pic of it.

Well there you go!  Talk to yall laterz!!!!  And PLEASE comment!!!!
